Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites an experienced electrical distribution engineer to join a project team. You will design and review distribution facilities from 4 kV to 38 kV, lead engineers and designers, and coordinate field work as needed.

The role emphasizes strong communication and adherence to codes while collaborating on complex tasks. Hybrid work arrangement allows three days in the office and two remote days.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a design-related field or a 4-year non-engineering degree.
• 6+ years of experience in electric utility distribution or equivalent.
• Experience with distribution design methods and applicable codes (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities (4 kV through 38 kV).
• Perform field work when necessary and support maintenance/recapitalization of distribution components.
• Plan modifications and oversee complex tasks; lead project teams.
• Provide construction support and client communication as needed.
