Job summary

Sargent & Lundy offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days. The role leads engineers and designers on distribution projects, including overhead and underground facilities up to 38 kV, with responsibility for sketches, BOMs, and cost estimates.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in electric utility distribution, strong communication, and the ability to guide a project team, while complying with NEC/NESC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a design-related field or a 4-year non-engineering degree is required.
• 6+ years of experience in electric utility distribution or equivalent review experience.
• Knowledgeable in physical distribution design methods and their application.
• Familiar with codes and standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.
• Experience with overhead/underground distribution projects (120/208V through 38kV).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities (4 KV through 38 KV).
• Lead project teams and coordinate with clients; conduct field work when necessary.
• Support preliminary project scoping and maintenance/recapitalization of distribution components.
• Provide construction support and client communication as needed.
