Job summary

CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering seeks a hands-on Lead Director, Software Development Engineering to build and execute technology solutions for Specialty Pharmacy. This leader will guide diverse teams across geographies, drive a multiyear modernization roadmap, and deliver scalable software through disciplined Agile releases.

This role partners with Strategy, Operations and Product to improve operational efficiency, enable AI-enabled tooling, and advance business growth while upholding

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development with Agile
• 7+ years building microservices (Python, Java/Spring Boot)
• 5+ years containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
• 3+ years cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• 1+ years generative AI/web-services tooling
• Experience leading distributed remote teams

Responsibilities

• Lead multiyear modernization roadmap for Specialty Pharmacy value streams
• Design and develop Specialty Pharmacy products and tech assets
• Assess engineering practices and drive continuous improvement
• Lead engineering teams across geographies and mentor staff
• Human leadership including hiring, performance management and career development
• Foster business/tech partnerships to support roadmap
• Conduct tech research to inform long-term strategy
