Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director - Software Development Engineering to drive modernization across Specialty Pharmacy value streams. You will lead a diverse engineering and change-management team, delivering multi-year roadmaps through Agile releases across geographies.

In this role, you will shape technology strategy, partner with Strategy, Operations, and Product, and mentor teams while ensuring high-quality software and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with Agile methodologies.
• 7+ years of experience building microservices with Python and Java (Spring Boot).
• 5+ years of experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• At least 3+ years of experience in cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• At least 1+ years experience with agentic AI frameworks and generative AI-based web services.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and creation of a multi-year modernization roadmap to support Specialty Pharmacy value streams.
• Design and develop foundational framework and technology assets for Specialty Pharmacy products.
• Assess software engineering practices to improve operational efficiency, time to market, and product quality.
• Lead engineering teams, mentoring them across a wide range of platforms.
• Manage people: hiring, performance, coaching, and career growth objectives.
• Build strong relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners to support the roadmap.
