CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering seeks a hands‑on Lead Director — Software Development Engineering to build and execute multiyear modernization roadmaps for its specialty pharmacy platforms. You will partner with Strategy, Operations and Product leaders to shape technology strategy, deliver scalable software across geographies, and drive value streams with agile releases yearly.

Qualifications

10+ years in software development with Agile practices.
7+ years building microservices (Python/Java Spring Boot).
5+ years containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
3+ years experience on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
1+ years using AI frameworks for web services.

Responsibilities

Lead strategy and multiyear modernization roadmap for Specialty Pharmacy value streams.
Design and develop foundational tech assets for Specialty Pharmacy products.
Improve engineering practices to boost time to market and quality.
Lead and mentor engineering teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
Hire, coach, and manage performance; align with biznes and product partners.
Collaborate with vendors for onshore/offshore staffing needs and solution vendors.
Drive technology research to shape long‑term healthcare tech strategy.
Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
