Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director — Software Development Engineering to drive modernization for Specialty Pharmacy value streams. You will lead a diverse team across engineering and change management, coordinating with business and product leaders to execute a multiyear technology strategy.

The role focuses on building and delivering scalable software assets, improving oper- ational efficiency, and guiding teams through Agile releases across geographies. Visa travel up to 10% within the U.S.

Qualifications

10+ years of overall Software Development experience using Agile methodologies.
7+ years of development of microservices using Python, Java (Spring Boot).
5+ years in containerization tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
3+ years in cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
1+ years using AI frameworks and generative AI web services/tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy and creation of a multiyear modernization roadmap to support Specialty Pharmacy value streams.
Design, develop and maintain Specialty Pharmacy products and tech assets.
Improve engineering practices to boost operational efficiency and time-to-market.
Guide and mentor engineering teams across multiple platforms and geographies.
Manage hiring, performance, career growth, and goal setting for the team.
Foster strong partnerships with Business, Product and Tech teams to deliver roadmaps.
Coordinate with vendors for onshore and offshore staffing and external solutions.
Conduct research to develop long-term technology strategy based on trends in healthcare and tech.
Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
