Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director, Software Development Engineering to shape a modernization roadmap for Specialty Pharmacy and to lead a distributed engineering team across geographies, delivering scalable software solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.

You will partner with Strategy, Operations, and Product to drive technology strategy, mentor engineers, and foster innovation while maintaining a strong focus on quality, Agile releases, and measurable business

Qualifications

10+ years of software development experience with Agile methodologies.
7+ years in microservices development using Python and Java (Spring Boot).
5+ years with containerization tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
3+ years experience on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
1+ years experience with Agentic AI frameworks and AI-based web services.

Responsibilities

Lead multiyear modernization roadmap for Specialty Pharmacy value streams.
Design and develop foundational framework for Specialty Pharmacy products and tech assets.
Improve software engineering practices, operational efficiency, time to market, and product quality.
Lead engineering teams across geographies with mentoring and coaching.
Build relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners to support the roadmap.
Drive technology research and innovation to align with healthcare trends.
