CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director of Software Development Engineering to shape the modernization of Specialty Pharmacy technology. You will own the multiyear roadmap, design core assets, and lead diverse engineering teams across geographies.

This role partners with strategy, operations, and product to deliver impactful digital solutions. Responsibilities include driving engineering excellence, mentoring teams, and aligning initiatives with business value while navigating a hybrid US-based

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development with Agile experience.
• 7+ years building microservices using Python/Java (Spring Boot).
• 5+ years containerization with Kubernetes & Docker.
• 3+ years cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ years using Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI web-services/tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiyear modernization roadmap for Specialty Pharmacy value streams.
• Design and develop Specialty Pharmacy technology assets.
• Drive engineering practices to improve efficiency, time to market and quality.
• Lead distributed engineering teams across geographies and guide coaching.
• Hire and manage performance, coach career growth and set goals.
• Partner with Business, Product and Technology to deliver the roadmap.
• Collaborate with vendors for staffing and solution needs.
• Conduct technology research to define long-term strategy.
• Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
