Job summary

CVS Health leads a modernization program in Specialty Pharmacy, seeking a Lead Director of Software Development Engineering to drive multiyear technology strategy and deliver high-impact software across geographies.

The role collaborates with Strategy, Operations and Product leadership to plan and execute a modern, value‑driven technology roadmap while growing teams domestically and globally.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience using Agile methods.
• 7+ years of experience in building microservices with Python/Java (Spring Boot).
• 5+ years of containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ years of experience with AI frameworks and generative AI web services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and creation of a multiyear modernization roadmap for Specialty Pharmacy value streams.
• Lead the design and development of Specialty Pharmacy products and technology assets.
• Assess engineering practices to improve operational efficiency, time to market and product quality.
• Guide engineering teams across geographies, mentoring across disciplines and platforms.
• Hire, coach, and manage performance with measurable goals and career development.
• Partner with Business, Product and Technology to deliver the roadmap and staffing.
• Coordinate onshore and offshore/nearshore vendor partnerships to support staffing.
