Penske Truck Leasing in Santa Maria, CA is seeking an experienced Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of fleet vehicles. You’ll lead at your location, mentor others, and conduct road tests to diagnose problems while working with modern tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Six years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components and OEM training.
• Experience using welding, diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow safety rules.

Responsabilités

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little supervision in a timely manner.
• Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacements.
• Keeping your work area clean and safe.
• Using Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
