Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Platform Engineer to design and operate secure software delivery pipelines for FAA-aligned flight service applications. You will own CI/CD automation, GitLab administration, and Kubernetes deployment strategies, collaborating with cybersecurity and cloud teams to ensure rapid, secure software delivery across environments.

The role demands expertise in GitLab CI/CD, AWS cloud services, Helm, and IaC, with strong scripting and problem-solving skills. U.S.

Qualifications

Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines for enterprise software.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines including runners, templates, variables, artifacts, and deployment workflows.
Experience deploying containerized apps (Docker/Kubernetes) and using Helm or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Own the implementation and operation of software delivery pipelines from build to production release.
Develop and maintain automated build, test, deployment, and release workflows using GitLab CI/CD and AWS services.
Administer GitLab platform infrastructure and reusable CI/CD templates across Agile teams.
Integrate automated security capabilities (SAST, SCA, container scanning) into pipelines.
Design automated deployment strategies for Kubernetes-based apps using Helm and GitOps.
Collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners to ensure scalable, observable platforms.
Mentor teams to improve build reliability, deployment consistency, and developer productivity.
Ensure security throughout SDLC and compliance with requirements.
Troubleshoot pipeline failures and release issues across environments.
Document pipelines, procedures, and engineering standards.
Support Agile ceremonies and multiple dev teams with automation.
