Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Platform Engineer to support Agile software teams, delivering secure software delivery platforms and automated pipelines. You will manage GitLab CI/CD, container registries, and deployment automation while integrating security across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 4-8 years of experience.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines for enterprise software.
• Experience developing and administering GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, templates, and artifacts.
• Experience administering GitLab repositories, merge requests, branching strategies, and permissions.
• Experience Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Experience deploying containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) with Helm or similar.
• Experience scripting with Bash, Python or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Linux administration and CLI.
• Experience with AWS cloud services for modern deployments.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security and secure SDLC practices.
• Experience integrating automated testing and security scanning into CI/CD.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Own implementation and operation of software delivery pipelines from build through production release.
• Develop, administer, and maintain automated build, test, deployment, and release workflows.
• Administer GitLab platform infrastructure and develop reusable CI/CD templates.
• Integrate automated security capabilities into pipelines (SAST, SCA, image scanning).
• Design and maintain automated deployment strategies for Kubernetes-based apps using Helm and GitOps.
• Collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners to support cloud platforms and automation.
• Work with software teams to improve build reliability, deployment consistency, and release quality.
• Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, and pipeline performance.
• Develop and maintain pipeline documentation and release processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies supporting multiple teams.
