Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Platform Engineer to support Agile software teams by designing and improving secure software delivery platforms and automated pipelines.

You will enable automated build, test, security scanning, deployment, and release processes while integrating security across the SDLC. This role focuses on GitLab administration, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and developer enablement, in collaboration with Cloud Systems Owners, cybersecurity, and architects to

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant experience or 2–6 years with a Master's.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runners.
• Experience administering GitLab repositories and merging workflows.
• Experience Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience deploying Docker/Kubernetes via Helm or similar.
• Automation scripting in Bash or Python.
• Linux administration and CLI familiarity.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security and secure SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Own the implementation and operation of software delivery pipelines, from build through production release.
• Develop, administer, and maintain automated build, test, deployment, and release workflows using GitLab CI/CD, GitLab Runners, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeBuild.
• Administer GitLab platform infrastructure and develop reusable CI/CD templates and pipeline libraries.
• Integrate automated security capabilities into pipelines (SAST, SCA, image scanning, secrets detection, IaC scanning).
• Design and maintain automated deployment strategies for Kubernetes-based apps using Helm and GitOps.
• Configure GitLab Container Registry, artifact repositories, and dependency management solutions.
• Collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners to support automated deployment, scalability, and reliability.
• Improve build reliability, deployment consistency, release quality, and developer productivity via automation.
• Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure SDLC security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot build/deploy issues and maintain pipeline documentation.
