Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Platform Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure software delivery pipelines for FAA-aligned flight services. You will administer GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes deployments, partnering with Cloud Systems Owners and cyber teams to ensure scalable, secure software delivery across agile teams.

You will enable automated build, test, security scanning, deployment, and release processes while embedding security throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines for enterprise software.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, runners, templates, and deployment workflows.
• Experience administering GitLab repos, merge requests, and permissions.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience deploying containerized apps with Docker/Kubernetes and Helm.
• Automation scripting in Bash or Python; Linux familiarity.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and secure software development practices.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security, secrets management, and dependency management.
• Ability to integrate automated testing and security scanning into CI/CD.
• Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills; US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Own the implementation and operation of software delivery pipelines from build to release.
• Develop and maintain automated build, test, deployment, and release workflows.
• Administer GitLab platform infra and create reusable CI/CD templates.
• Integrate SAST, SCA, container image scanning, and IaC scanning into pipelines.
• Design automated deployment strategies for Kubernetes apps using Helm and GitOps.
• Manage GitLab Container Registry and artifact management solutions.
• Collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners for scalable, reliable deployments.
• Improve build reliability, deployment consistency, and developer productivity.
• Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure security and compliance throughout SDLC.
• Troubleshoot build/deploy issues and maintain deployment documentation.
