Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking an Assistant Director – Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms to shape enterprise data and AI capabilities. You will partner with business leaders and engineering teams to establish technical direction and deliver modern data platforms.

You’ll guide architecture, mentor teams, support secure, scalable solutions, and advance generative AI initiatives across onshore and offshore delivery, influencing the evolution of analytics at EY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related tech field.
• 8–12 years in data engineering, data platforms or analytics engineering.
• Hands-on leadership guiding architecture and solution design.
• Experience with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric (at least one).
• Knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, modeling, testing and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for enterprise data, analytics and AI platform initiatives.
• Guide architecture decisions to meet security, scalability and operational requirements.
• Lead technical workstreams and multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing and deployment.
• Review designs, pipelines and analytics solutions for reliability and performance.
• Manage risks, dependencies and delivery timelines with governance and quality controls.
• Identify and remove delivery barriers and coach teams on best practices.
• Communicate risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead onshore and offshore transitions including knowledge transfer and handoffs.
