Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a seasoned Pre-Development Program Manager to lead design, pre-construction and construction activities on key data center campuses. You will coordinate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, and Operations to keep programs on time and on budget.

The role requires 6+ years in commercial real estate development and strong MS Office skills. Travel up to 50% is expected, with MBA or engineering/management master’s degrees a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in commercial real estate development or CM/Design-Build delivery.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint for executive updates and Excel for budgets.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, pre-construction, and construction activities for multiple campus projects.
• Maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports for executive reviews.
• Develop master development programs and capital budgets for sites.
• Manage entitlements and permitting needs for assigned projects.
• Prepare scopes of work and participate in design, construction, and commissioning procurement.
• Review change orders and negotiate pricing with contractors and vendors.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams on client solutions within schedule and budget.
