Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Sugar Grove, IL is seeking a Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities on complex data center campuses. You will coordinate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers and Engineers to keep programs on track.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, at least five years in commercial construction delivery methods, and strong Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Lump Sum, CMA @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from development through close out.
• Strong MS Office proficiency for executive updates and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple campus projects with budgets, schedules and status reports.
• Create monthly updates on development programs and project status for executives.
• Develop master development programs for sites and manage entitlements and permitting.
• Lead multi-phased site development plans to meet time, budget and quality targets.
• Write scopes for design/construction/commissioning and assist in procurement and cost estimates.
• Evaluate pricing proposals and coordinate with procurement for equipment.
• Ensure submittals are coordinated with site stakeholders and monitor costs to date.
• Establish schedules and lead teams to on-time completion; review pay applications and change orders.
• Collaborate with sales engineers and product teams on client deals within scope and budget.
