Job summary

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Lead CX/UX Designer to own end-to-end research and design for a complex product area, working across discovery, interaction, and visual design. The role includes mentoring teammates and applying AI/code-based tools with sound judgment in a hybrid environment.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering, shape priorities with customer evidence, and drive measurable outcomes while advancing accessibility and design systems across workflows.

Qualifications

• End-to-end UX expertise demonstrated by leading research and design for complex products with measurable outcomes.
• Strong user research skills including interviews, workflow observation, and usability studies.
• Deep expertise in information architecture, workflows, and detailed interface design.
• Experience building realistic interactive prototypes using UX, AI, and code-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead research and design for a complex product area or initiative, owning the user experience across connected workflows.
• Plan and conduct own research with customers; identify unmet needs and define problems to solve.
• Partner with UX researchers when needed while retaining ownership of research within your scope.
• Shape priorities with Product and Engineering by linking customer evidence to business goals and constraints.
• Develop concepts and testable prototypes to explore future experiences and inform roadmaps.
• Carry solutions through detailed interaction and visual design and collaborate with Engineering during implementation.
• Use AI and code-based tools to speed up research, prototyping, and ensure accountable outputs.
• Evolve design patterns and align with broader experience direction through collaboration with senior designers.
• Define and track success measures with Product and Engineering using usage data and feedback.
• Mentor UX colleagues, lead critiques, and build alignment with senior stakeholders through evidence-based recommendations.
