Job summary

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Senior CX/UX Designer to transform complex tax and accounting workflows into clear, usable solutions. You’ll own design within a product area, leveraging research, UX methods and AI tools to explore ideas, build prototypes, and guide implementations.

In this hybrid role, you’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering to test designs with users and refine based on evidence. You’ll mentor others and contribute to design system improvements while balancing user needs,

Qualifications

• UX design: information architecture, interaction design, and visual design with a portfolio.
• Prototyping and AI tools: experience using UX and AI tools to explore variations and create interactive prototypes.
• Usability testing: plan and conduct usability tests and translate findings into design improvements.
• Apply existing user research to inform solutions.
• Design judgment: balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints with rationale.
• Design systems and accessibility: apply and contribute to shared patterns and accessible experiences.
• Collaboration: work with PM, UX, and Engineering and communicate decisions clearly.
• Outcome measurement: use feedback and product data to assess impact on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of complex workflows within a product area and clarify goals with Product and Engineering.
• Develop solutions using research and domain knowledge relevant to tax and accounting professionals.
• Explore multiple concepts before choosing a direction.
• Select UX methods and tools suited to each problem.
• Use AI to support synthesis, exploration, and prototyping.
• Create detailed user flows, interactions, and prototypes for testing and implementation.
• Plan and conduct usability tests and iterate based on observations.
• Apply accessible design patterns and contribute to the design system, working with Engineering through implementation.
• Assess results with Product and Engineering using measures like task completion and errors.
• Mentor junior UX colleagues and contribute to critiques.
