Job summary

Pasco County is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to act as a lead worker in the Code Compliance Division. The role involves providing information on ordinances and enforcement actions, maintaining multiple databases, and handling public records requests.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, assisting with purchasing, generating reports, and attending HOA meetings to take minutes. Requires strong communication skills and a Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in customer service duties involving frequent public contact.
• One year of experience using a personal computer and related software.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead worker in the Code Compliance Division; provide information to the public about County ordinances, regulations and enforcement actions.
• Maintain Division spreadsheets and databases (property appraiser, foreclosure registry, GOVQA, Clerk of the Court, and CAD).
• Upload warnings of the Foreclosure Ordinance and document case files as necessary.
• Perform open code violation searches and respond to inquiries via email, fax or telephone.
• Retrieve data and enter it into various software systems; prepare liens and related documents.
• Process contractor invoices and assist with purchasing Division supplies.
• Generate system reports and respond to public records requests.
• Attend civic association and HOA meetings and take meeting minutes.
• Handle general clerical tasks such as mail, filing, scanning, and copying; support Emergency Operations Center as needed.
• Review outgoing correspondence for grammar and format; ensure policy and procedural adherence.
