Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician to specialize in modernization and repair of cranes. The role covers troubleshooting, upgrades, and leading field technicians while serving as a liaison between management and customers.

The position requires self-sufficiency, strong communication, and safety-first mindset in a 24/7 service environment with on-call and potential overtime requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years crane repair and maintenance experience.
• 3-4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to work off the ground at various heights.
• Basic computer skills for web-based crane inspection programs.
• Able to communicate well and work independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Must be on-call and provide after-hours services as required.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generate inspection reports.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule work daily.
• Consult with customers regarding repair and safety issues and recommendations.
• Maintain all company equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe working order.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely; report deficiencies.
• Attend trainings and seminars as required.
• Participate in HCSG 5 Marks program.
• Other duties as assigned.
