Job summary

Azul Hospitality Group in Palm Springs, CA is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations. You will prepare all hotel outlet items using standardized recipes and uphold sanitation and safety standards.

You will read menus, assist in training, coordinate staff, set up mise en place, operate equipment, and help maintain quality and consistency across dishes. A minimum of 2 years cooking experience and a Food Handlers certificate are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

• Prepare and portion food using standardized recipes and equipment.
• Set up stations with mise en place and monitor oven/steam equipment temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards; clean and sanitize work areas and tools.
