The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp is seeking a skilled cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for large groups in a Tampa area kitchen. You will supervise other kitchen staff, plan menus, and ensure all meals meet safety and quality standards.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience cooking for large groups, with some leadership responsibilities. A Food Handler’s certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assigns, instructs, and monitors work of other cooks and food service workers; ensures meals and snacks are prepared as planned.
• Plans menus and recommends purchase of food and supplies necessary for the preparation and serving of nutritional meals.
• Cleans, cooks, and prepares a variety of foods and beverages utilizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and supplies.

Schedule/Hours: Schedule will vary between both shifts – 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Days will vary. Some weekends included.This position is responsible for:Plans, prepares, cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules; ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner; cleans kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances; maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.
