Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Safety Health & Environmental Manager for the SoCal area (LA/ OC and Riverside). This role implements safety and loss prevention programs and ensures job-site personnel and subcontractors are trained in safety protocols.

The position requires OSHA 30, 5+ years in commercial construction safety, and supervisory experience; preferred BS in Safety & Environmental Health or Construction Management, CHST, and local market experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 5 years or more of commercial construction safety experience in a Safety Manager role.
• 5 years or more of supervisory experience related to staff and subcontractors.
• OSHA 30 required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate safety training and incentive programs.
• Perform accident investigations and produce written reports.
• Review project safety plans with superintendents.
• Maintain safety records and SDS materials on-site.
• Manage environmental and hazardous material issues.
• Oversee site drug testing programs and safety training tracking.
• Represent the company at safety professional meetings.
