Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities seeks a Safety Health & Environmental Manager to oversee safety and loss prevention at a state‑of‑the‑art operations facility. You will train site employees and subcontractors on safety programs, regulations, and incident prevention while traveling to multiple job sites as needed.

Responsibilities include leading safety trainings, conducting investigations, reviewing safety plans, and maintaining records to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in a complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Safety & Environmental Health or Construction Management/Engineering degree.
• 4 years of safety experience with preventive, professional duties.
• 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• CHST certification.
• US Citizenship due to federal contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate safety training and incentive programs.
• Perform accident investigations and written reports.
• Review project safety plans, Pre-Task Plans, JHAs, AHAs and other safety submittals.
• Support project teams and subcontractors in meetings and reviews.
• Provide sources for SDS books and required on-site information.
• Maintain site safety records and drug testing program oversight.
• Represent the Company at safety professional meetings and associations.
