Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Safety Health & Environmental Manager to implement safety and loss prevention programs on our projects. The role ensures training for site personnel and subcontractors on federal/state regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Essential duties include coordinating safety training, conducting audits, investigating incidents, and maintaining SDS materials and site records. OSHA 30 and a BS in safety/health or related field are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience in a Safety Manager role.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience related to staff and subcontractors.
• OSHA 30 required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate safety training and incentive programs.
• Maintain safety statistics and cost/frequency data.
• Perform accident investigations and prepare written reports.
• Review project safety plans and ensure compliance.
• Manage SDS books and on-site safety information.
• Oversee safety records and drug testing program.
• Represent the company at safety meetings and alliances.
