Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Construction Project Manager for Starbase and other SpaceX facilities in the Brownsville/South Padre Island area. You will own the design, build, and activation of infrastructure and large capital projects, driving them to on-time, under-budget delivery with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management with 1+ years of experience working in the field on construction projects, or 5+ years of commercial construction experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations; ability to mark up and highlight coordination items.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit

Responsibilities

• Oversee and own the full lifecycle of multidisciplinary construction projects to achieve on-time and under-budget delivery with customer satisfaction.
• Provide daily coordination to contractors working across the entire facility and coordinate critical path work to maintain project schedules.
• Plan construction activities with facility operators to avoid delays to facility operations.
• Perform daily quality inspection and verification of contractor's progress and observe critical operations to ensure quality.
• Ensure contractors follow site and OSHA safety standards while performing work.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real-time.
• Manage night shift/early morning contractors as project work requires.
• Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
• Facilitate city, county, and regulatory approvals
• Track and approve invoicing of work
