Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary infrastructure initiatives at Starbase as well as other SpaceX facilities in the Brownsville/South Padre Island area. This role owns the scope from ROM to close-out and collaborates with engineers, architects, vendors, and regulators to deliver world-class facilities that support our mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• 1+ years of field construction experience, or 5+ years of commercial construction experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of multidisciplinary construction projects to achieve on-time and under-budget delivery with customer satisfaction.
• Gather proposals from architects, engineers, vendors, or contractors and evaluate bids.
• Review proposals for accuracy and track cost-saving improvements; develop final cost and schedule.
• Implement controls to track cost, schedule, and scope; manage contracts through close-out.
• Facilitate city, county, and regulatory approvals; ensure site safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with facility operators to avoid delays and manage critical path work.
• Perform daily quality inspections and ensure OSHA standards are followed; resolve field conflicts.
