Job summary

MasTec Industrialis is seeking a Construction Manager II to lead a large multi-craft project up to $100 million. You will oversee safety, quality, equipment, materials, and manpower, coordinating between senior craft leadership and the project team.

The role requires interfacing with clients, engineering/design, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management. Relocation and extensive travel may be required, with a focus on delivering on-time, on-budget results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and construction management or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of field experience.
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage General Foreman and Superintendents in multiple disciplines.
• Represent Casey in client interactions.
• Communicate with client, engineers, subcontractors and vendors on construction issues.
• Champion Casey’s Corporate Safety Plan and develop a site-specific safety plan.
• Review claimed quantities and identify productivity problems; propose solutions.
• Review work plans and work packages.
• Support site quality plan and ensure inspections and quality documentation are completed on time.
• Coach Superintendents on monitoring labor rates below estimate.
• Lead safety reviews and toolbox talks.
• Schedule material deliveries and monitor procurement status.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on site.
• Review material takeoffs and contract documents.
• Assist Project Engineer with data for submittals and transmittals.
• Provide information for purchase orders, subcontracts and project controls.
• Mentor and supervise subcontractor operations.
• Maintain project records including daily reports and RFIs.
• Contribute to master project schedule and change orders.
