Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a qualified estimator to prepare detailed estimates from drawings and specs, assemble bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts, and lead document management on multi-trade projects. You will liaise with design teams, clients and trade partners, supporting constructability reviews and value analysis.

A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of documents
• Conceptual ability to work with minimal information and quickly develop understanding of owner/architect requirements
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications, and familiar with estimating software

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates including quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for items in assigned scope
• Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts
• Lead document management for projects and distribute information to stakeholders
• Liaise with trade partners, design team, and client as main contact for trade partners
• Support constructability reviews through project team communications
• Develop value analysis studies to find cost-efficient alternatives
• Understand factors for trade package scope including documents, site logistics, schedule, coordination, means and methods
• Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades and coordinate to avoid gaps and overlaps
