Job summary

DAVIS Construction is seeking an EHS Manager to lead hazard identification, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions on large project sites. You will integrate safety planning with project prep, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include training development, trade partner engagement, and governance of EHS content across projects, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk reduction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health + Safety Sciences or related field, or equivalent safety experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in occupational Environmental Health + Safety in construction.
  • Safety Trained Supervisor Certification, or equivalent.
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas to employees, trade partners and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Leads comprehensive EHS audits and field inspections on complex or high-risk projects.
  • Identifies systemic issues and ensures timely resolution and accurate documentation.
  • Conducts peer audits of other EHS Managers and shares findings with department leadership.
  • Plans and reviews Job Hazard Analyses, Pre-Task Plans, and high-risk work scopes.
  • Engages leadership and trade partners to address noncompliance and reinforce safety culture.
  • Designs and delivers advanced EHS education and specialized training courses.
