Job summary

James G. Davis Construction Corp. seeks an EHS Manager to identify hazards on large project sites and implement corrective actions to eliminate risk. The role leads audits, incident investigations, and training, ensuring compliance with OSHA and contract requirements across projects.

The position emphasizes field presence, collaboration with leadership and trade partners, and development of EHS policies and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field or equivalent safety experience.
• Five+ years of occupational EHS experience in construction.
• SSTSC or equivalent certification.
• CHST or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to communicate ideas to employees, trade partners and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive EHS audits and field inspections on complex or high‑risk projects.
• Identify systemic issues and ensure timely resolution and documentation.
• Lead safety planning, JHA, PT planning and high‑risk work reviews.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses; track corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver advanced EHS training and education.
• Engage with leadership and trade partners to improve safety performance.
