Job summary

Davis Construction is seeking an Assistant EHS Manager to eliminate hazardous conditions and apply advanced safety principles on our Rockville, MD projects. The role emphasizes field leadership, inspections, audits, and closing corrective actions with project teams and trade partners.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in EHS or related field, 2 years in occupational safety, construction experience, and a BCSP credential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field, or equivalent safety experience.
• Two years of experience in occupational EHS or related field.
• Construction industry experience.
• Possesses BCSP credential or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.

Responsibilities

• Lead routine EHS inspections and project audits.
• Verify closure of corrective actions and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Analyze inspection and audit data to identify trends and high-risk activities.
• Lead project EHS kickoff meetings and trade partner preconstruction meetings.
• Develops and delivers Competent Person and other EHS education programs.
• Investigates incidents and leads corrective action implementation.
