Job summary

James G. Davis Construction (DAVIS) seeks an EHS Manager to identify hazards on large project sites and take corrective measures to eliminate risk from the project sites.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health + Safety or related field, 5+ years of construction EHS experience, and safety certifications. You will lead audits, safety planning, training, and incident investigations to uphold DAVIS safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health + Safety or related field, or equivalent safety experience.
• 5+ years of occupational EHS experience in construction.
• Safety Trained Supervisor Certification, or equivalent.
• Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to communicate ideas to employees, trade partners and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead field audits and inspections to identify risks on complex projects.
• Oversee EHS planning, job hazard analyses, and high‑risk work controls.
• Conduct incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead training and education programs; represent DAVIS at external conferences and client briefings.
