Job summary

James G. Davis Construction (DAVIS) is seeking an EHS Engineer to eradicate hazardous conditions arising from human error, equipment and operations on construction sites in Rockville, MD.

The role applies advanced engineering principles, safety standards, and analytical techniques to protect workers and assets. You will conduct field inspections, review high-risk activities, lead training, and coordinate with project teams and trade partners to implement effective risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in EHS or related field.
• Experience in occupational EHS and construction industry.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.
• Excellent communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field safety inspections and hazard control.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Prepare and deliver EHS training to field teams.
• Maintain DAVIS EHS documentation and reporting.
• Support project EHS start-up and site controls.
