Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead commercial installation projects from kickoff to startup. You will mentor Install Helpers and Apprentices, read blueprints, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Applicants should have 4+ years in HVAC installation, strong mechanical skills, and an EPA certification. A valid driver’s license and ability to work on rooftops and in mechanical spaces are required.

Qualifications

4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
Proven leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
EPA Certification is required.

Responsibilities

Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
Install and replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and ducts.
Read blueprints, specs and installation plans to keep projects on schedule.
Coach Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
Perform startups, testing, commissioning and final quality inspections.
Communicate with customers, PMs and team throughout installation.
Maintain a clean, organized, safe job site.
Complete installation documentation accurately and on time.
