Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC, a NearU Company, is seeking a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead commercial installation projects from kickoff to startup. You’ll mentor Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers while delivering high-quality, safe workmanship on rooftop and mechanical rooms.

This role requires 4+ years of HVAC installation experience, proven leadership, EPA Certification, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to work on rooftops, attics, and outdoors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to startup.
• Read blueprints, job specifications, and installation plans to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach and develop Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verify proper airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and overall system performance.
• Perform equipment startups, testing, commissioning, and final quality inspections.
• Communicate with customers and project teams throughout the installation process.
