Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead commercial installation projects from kickoff to startup. You will supervise crews, mentor apprentices, and ensure safety and quality while delivering projects on time.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of HVAC installation experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver's license. OTA, rooftop units, duct systems, and reading blueprints are routine parts of the job.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership experience mentoring team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to access rooftops, mechanical rooms, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Install/replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, ACs, and ductwork.
• Read blueprints and installation plans to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verify airflow, refrigerant charge and electrical connections.
• Perform startups, testing, commissioning and final inspections.
• Communicate with customers and project managers throughout installation.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site and complete installation documentation.
