Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC seeks a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead installation projects from start to finish. You will mentor Install Helpers and Apprentices while ensuring quality, safety, and on-time startup across rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, and ductwork.

The role requires 4+ years of HVAC installation experience, strong leadership, and EPA Certification. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work on rooftops and in mechanical spaces are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing installation projects.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work on rooftops, in mechanical spaces, and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Install and replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductwork.
• Read blueprints and specs to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach and develop Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
• Perform startups, testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
• Communicate with customers, PMs, and team members throughout installation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Complete installation documentation accurately and on time.
