Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC, a NearU Company, is seeking a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead commercial installation projects end-to-end. You will mentor Install Helpers and Apprentices, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with customers and project managers to drive on-time startup and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of HVAC installation experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on rooftops and in mechanical spaces.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Install and replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and duct systems.
• Read blueprints, job specs, and installation plans to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach and develop Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
• Perform startups, testing, commissioning and final quality inspections.
• Communicate with customers, project managers and team members throughout the installation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Complete installation documentation accurately and on time.
