Job summary

CorroHealth is seeking a skilled Coding Manager to lead a team responsible for accurate inpatient, outpatient, and professional services coding. You will drive workflows, audits, and executive reporting to optimize the revenue cycle while ensuring compliance with coding standards.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of medical coding experience, 2+ years in leadership, and strong communication skills across departments.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• National coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA CCS, CCS-P, CDEO preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of medical coding experience (inpatient, outpatient, or professional services).
• At least 2 years leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage coding workflows to reduce backlogs, troubleshoot system issues, optimize revenue cycle processes.
• Communicates regularly with Coding staff, CDI staff, Physicians and other departments.
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of satisfaction levels.
• Identify and participate in resolution of problems or issues in a timely manner.
• Provide periodic status reports to leadership teams regarding client status.
• Schedule staff for department based upon volumes and prioritize workloads appropriately.
• Develop and present executive level reporting package on a quarterly basis.
• Manage a team of direct reports, including performance reviews, Team Member development and corrective action as necessary.
• Perform regular audits to monitor coding quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with team to improve existing products and services.
• Collaborate with team to develop new products and services.
• Assist direct reports with accurate application of diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS.
