Job summary

CorroHealth is seeking a Senior Medical Coding Leader to drive clinical coding excellence across inpatient, outpatient, and professional services. You will lead a team, monitor client satisfaction, and ensure timely, accurate code assignment leveraging ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and ability to coordinate with QA, clients, and internal teams to optimize reimbursement outcomes.

Qualifications

• National coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA.
• Ongoing CEUs to maintain credentials and stay current with coding standards.
• Experience with both Professional and Facility coding preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical coding (inpatient, outpatient, or professional services).
• A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and maintain quality and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Ability to navigate a variety of EMR environments and review hand-written charts.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage the client service level agreement metrics including delivery expectations with turnaround timeframe.
• Drive monthly client meetings via phone or in person to ensure proactive feedback loop across the team.
• Communicate regularly with key members to meet client needs and corporate objectives.
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of client satisfaction levels.
• Monitor on-going progress and success of each client using various metrics.
• Identify and resolve client problems or issues promptly.
• Provide periodic status reports to leadership on client status.
• Meet with clients monthly to review monthly reporting and discuss operational issues.
• Lead a team of direct reports including performance reviews and development.
