Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks an experienced Revenue Cycle Coding Manager to lead professional coding and charge capture for a pediatric multi-specialty practice. You will drive quality, efficiency, and compliance across coding teams and external vendors.

Responsibility includes governance of CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and payer requirements, with oversight on denials and audits. Strong leadership and collaboration with physicians and management are essential.

Qualifications

• Active CPC through AAPC or CCS through AHIMA required.
• Minimum five years of progressive professional coding or revenue cycle experience with leadership.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding, charge capture, claims editing, denials, payer requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, CMS NCCI edits, and MUEs.
• Working knowledge of Medi-Cal, CCS, Medicare, managed care, capitation, and commercial payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day and long-range coding operations, including staffing and priorities.
• Owns the coding operating model and defines responsibilities among staff and vendors.
• Monitors KPIs for coding inventory, lag, productivity, and quality.
• Analyzes trends and develops corrective action plans with owners and milestones.
• Oversees all coding worklists, intake channels, and escalation of risks to ensure timely submission.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and vendor support based on volume and complexity.
• Supervises Coding Supervisor and ensures training, quality reviews, and timekeeping.
• Oversees coding vendor relationships and service levels, including invoices.
• Partners with Compliance to maintain a risk-based audit program and remediation.
