Job summary

CVS Health Enterprise Technology seeks a Lead Cloud Engineer for the Observability Platform to design, build, and operate core observability services using Go, Python, and Java (Spring Boot). You will drive OpenTelemetry adoption, architect high‑throughput telemetry pipelines, and enable self‑service capabilities for developers across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with SRE, Platform, and Cloud teams to establish reliability standards, participate in on‑call rotations, and guide incident

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
5+ years of experience with observability practices (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, alerting, incident management).
5+ years building production‑grade backend services in Go and/or Java.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate core observability platform services.
Lead enterprise-wide adoption of OpenTelemetry and related patterns.
Architect and scale high‑throughput telemetry pipelines (logs, metrics, traces).
Develop self‑service observability capabilities for onboarding and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with SRE and Platform teams to define reliability standards and incident response.
