This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan repayment program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements and submit your application within four months of appointment. The award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined after review of your application.
Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientists facilitate team or unit processes, collaborate with team members, and ensure tasks and goals are coordinated with management. Responsible for all aspects of operation in the Immunohematology Department, including record keeping, testing methodology analysis, training, instrumentation, and compliance. Acts as a liaison to other departments for the Immunohematology Department.
Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4pm, rotating weekends and holidays
Must be a U.S. citizen, proficient in English, and meet education and certification requirements as outlined, including a bachelor's degree and certification as an MLS or MT by ASCP or AMT. Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalency. Experience as a lead CLS at GS-12 level or equivalent is required, with specialized knowledge and skills as detailed.
