Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Project Manager (Heavy Civil Construction) for multiple California locations including La Mirada. You will direct projects up to $15 million, coordinating with estimators, project controls, and field teams to drive profitability and safety.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering or related field and 3–5 years of heavy civil experience, including paving, dirt, and grading. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• Three to five years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments, including paving, dirt, and grading.
• Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects up to $15 million.
• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and project controls to establish budgets and bid plans.
• Lead bid reviews and bid closings; ensure accurate bid-to-build process.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and profitable project execution through strong leadership and communication.
