Job summary

The Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) seeks a Child Support Supervisor to oversee a statewide team and Carroll County office. You will supervise Child Support Specialists, ensure investigations and enforcement actions comply with laws, and drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years of experience investigating and analyzing child support cases.
• Supervisory experience in a government program is preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and Maryland laws, rules, and regulations.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide staff and partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and evaluate the work of Child Support Specialists and staff.
• Train staff in investigations, case processing, and enforcement actions.
• Monitor workload and ensure timely case actions and regulatory compliance.
• Develop procedures to meet program goals and lead quality improvements.
• Collaborate with State agencies, the State's Attorney's Office, and courts.
