Job summary

The State of Maryland Department of Human Services seeks an Assistant Director for the Child Support Program in Leonardtown, MD. You will join the Director's Executive Staff, set goals, priorities and policies, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.

Responsibilities include recruiting and evaluating personnel, administering contracts, and overseeing $10.9 Million in collections for FY24. Leadership in a high-impact state agency is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Nine years of experience in administrative, professional or technical work; four years must have involved supervision of other employees or exercising responsibility for program development.

Responsibilities

• Provides administration and oversight to the Child Support Program.
• Directs, supervises and provides leadership to staff.
• Works as member of the Agency's Executive team.
• Develops strategies and leads the Child Support Program.
