Job summary

The State of Maryland's Department of Human Services seeks a senior manager to oversee the Establishment/Legal Units in the Montgomery County Office of Child Support. You will supervise professional and administrative staff and drive daily operations to meet unit goals.

Primary duties include directing child support programs, coordinating with state agencies, and ensuring efficient service delivery. The role reports to the Deputy Director and requires strong leadership and analytical skills to

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in human services program administration, or studies/analyses of programs.
• Experience supervising staff and directing day-to-day operations.
• Ability to communicate with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of child support processes and SOP development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates the administration of Child Support programs.
• Directs interactions with state agencies, sheriff’s department, judges, and committees.
• Oversees daily agency operations in the absence of leadership.
• Identifies issues and recommends operational improvements.
