Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and create custom splints in collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists.

Responsibilities include supervising OT Assistants, fabricating orthoses, and managing post-surgical and injury rehabilitation. CPR/BLS and OT/PT licensure required, with 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OTD preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of OT services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
